Emily's Bio
Emily Baker started her training at Inland Pacific Ballet Academy at the age of 8. She also had the privilege of training at many prestigious schools such as School of American Ballet, San Francisco Ballet School, Boston Ballet School, and Atlanta Ballet Centre For Dance Education. Emily first received an apprenticeship with Inland Pacific Ballet and while there had the opportunity to dance many soloist roles. She then went on to dance with Atlanta Ballet, Ballet Tucson, Impact Dance, Colorado Ballet, Mareck Dance (formerly Missouri Contemporary Ballet), and St. Louis Dance Theatre (Formerly The Big Muddy Dance Company). Emily joined as a company dancer with Newport Contemporary Ballet (formerly Island Moving Company) in 2018 and retired from her dance career in July 2024. Throughout Emily’s career she has had the honor of working with an array of choreographers such as, Brian Enos, Penny Saunders, Stephanie Martinez, Colin Connor, Robert Moses, Maurice Causey, Yoshito Sakuraba, Amy Hall Garner, and Nicolo Fonte.
